About me
My health insurance career began over 40 years ago as an underwriter with Mutual of Omaha. I learned the insurance and health care business through additional responsibilities and roles at National Benefits Resources (NBR), which is now part of United Healthcare, PreferredOne and UCare. Medicare Sales proved to be the most enjoyable and rewarding role of all - helping learn Medicare and find the coverage to best meet their needs. When working with someone my approach has always been if you are my mom or dad, my aunt or uncle or my next door neighbor, based on our conversations, what policy will best meet your coverage needs. Helping you understand your Medicare options is what I find both interesting and satisfying.
As for me, I grew up in Northwest Iowa. Both of my parents were raised on a farm, so I spent a lot of time working on my relatives’ farms. After graduation I attended Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Ia. Upon graduation I moved to Omaha, NE where I started my career in health insurance working for Mutual of Omaha. In 1989 I relocated to the Twin Cities for a different opportunity.
Since 1992 I have lived in Saint Anthony Village. When I am not working, I enjoy reading, movies, traveling, taking walks and checking out the local theaters and music venues.
